So here is a late post on my first lesson in new marketing, going to title it "confusion". The start of the lesson had an interesting twist to it. The agenda and topics for the upcoming semester look interesting and also the guest presenters raise my hope that this could be something that will support my future career and be interesting at the same time.
The whole idea of writing a blog during the class is innovative and really fits the theme of "new marketing". Only thing that worries me is "when the hell am I going to find time to do this on a regular basis". Also, my personal experience with blogs is "ziltsch", meaning nothing at all. For me blogs were, and still are, some craze for people that have got to much time. I often read about "promi bloggers" so nothing that really intereseted me. I know there are some real good tech blogs but as a CRM Project Manager I don't think there are many blogs out there that could be good for my daily business or my personal interests. More on those, my personal interests, later my dear followers (still need to find some).
It's obvious, the professor knows what he's talking about (and that he's a total apple fan ;-), but this story telling activity is causing "confusion". After re-discussing the task in the group and seeing many confused faces I had a chat with the professor. Some interesting discussions on google, microsoft (yes Bill not everybody likes you) and of course apple and I'm still confused. I get the concept of story telling and it's importance in advertising, so also new media advertising, but am I really getting the message the professor is trying to get across??? Well let me read the scripts this wknd and tell you more by Sunday........
Stay tunded for more information and story telling. As a famous story teller once said "good night and good luck"
